Terms of Service
How Dosiq may be used, and what we promise in return.
Dosiq is a tracking and education app, not a dose-prescribing app and not a medical device. Nothing in Dosiq is medical advice, a diagnosis, a prescription, or treatment. Dosiq will never tell you to start, stop, increase, decrease, switch, or pause a medication. Decisions about your medication belong to you and your prescribing clinician. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dosiq mobile application and its related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Dosiq ("Dosiq", "we", "us", or "our"). By installing, opening, or using Dosiq, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and remove it from your device. These Terms apply to all users, whether on the free tier or a paid subscription.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use Dosiq. Dosiq is intended for adults who are actively under the care of a licensed clinician. You must not use Dosiq if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and have not discussed GLP-1 or weight-management medications with your prescriber.
What Dosiq Is
Dosiq is a private journal for people taking GLP-1, GIP/GLP-1, and related weight-management medications. It helps you record doses, weight, nutrition, symptoms, food noise, and notes so you can recognize patterns and bring a clear record to your clinician. The Service may include account features, sync, trends and educational summaries, reminders, and paid subscriptions. We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time.
Medical Disclaimer
Dosiq is a tracking and education tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, diagnostic, treatment, prescription, or emergency advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed clinician who knows your full medical history.
- No dose recommendations. Dosiq can compare what you have logged against published label schedules or trial patterns, but it will never tell you to start, stop, increase, decrease, switch, or pause a medication.
- Educational estimates only. Figures such as "estimated active amount", BMI, energy expenditure, calorie ranges, or protein targets are simplified models based on published ranges and stated assumptions. They are not laboratory values or pharmacokinetic simulations and cannot account for individual variation.
- Always consult your prescriber. Bring Dosiq's trends and reports to your appointments as context, but do not act on them on your own.
- Compounded and research products. Dosiq lets you log compounded or research-only products because some users have them prescribed or take part in trials. Logging such a product does not make it safe, legal, approved, or medically appropriate, and Dosiq does not provide protocols for them. Always confirm with your prescriber and the licensed pharmacy.
- Emergencies. If you experience severe symptoms — for example severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, signs of an allergic reaction, or dehydration you cannot manage — seek urgent medical care immediately. Do not rely on Dosiq in an emergency.
By using Dosiq you acknowledge that it is a self-tracking tool, that all medical decisions remain yours to make with your prescriber, and that Dosiq and its operators are not responsible for any outcome that follows from your use of the information you log.
Your Account and Security
Some features require an account. You can sign in with Apple or Google; Dosiq does not use passwords. You are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in method, for all activity under your account, and for the accuracy of the information you enter. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may also use Dosiq without signing in. In that case, access to synced data and purchases tied to a device-level or anonymous identifier may be limited if you delete the app, clear device data, change platforms, or do not use available restore or account-linking features.
License to Use Dosiq
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Dosiq on devices you own or control, for your personal use. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell, rent, decompile, reverse engineer, or build a competing product from any part of Dosiq, except to the extent applicable law prohibits that restriction.
Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
Subscriptions and auto-renewal
Some Dosiq features require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing interval, included features, and renewal terms are shown at or before checkout. Purchases are billed through the Apple App Store and managed with our subscription provider, RevenueCat. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled, and you authorize the applicable charges, taxes, and renewals to your Apple account.
Free trials and promotional offers
If a free trial or promotional price is offered, it converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the stated deadline, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time in your Apple App Store subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not normally refund amounts already paid, except where required by law or by Apple's rules.
Refunds and restore
Refund eligibility depends on Apple's rules and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. App Store purchases must generally be requested directly through Apple. If your purchase supports it, you can restore access with the Service's "Restore Purchases" function. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory right you may have to a refund or remedy.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use Dosiq to log information for anyone other than yourself;
- use the Service illegally or in violation of any law or third-party right;
- harass others, submit false data designed to manipulate insights, or circumvent safety warnings;
- upload harmful code, or interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or any connected system, except where applicable law permits it;
- abuse, automate, or attempt to circumvent usage limits, trials, or fair-use rules, including by creating multiple or fake accounts.
We may monitor compliance, investigate misuse, and suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary.
Your Content and Data
The entries you create in Dosiq are yours. To operate and provide the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit your entries as needed to deliver the app, sync your data, provide support, keep the Service secure, and comply with law. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Intellectual Property
Dosiq, the Dosiq name and logo, the application code, the user interface, the iconography, the educational copy, and every other element we provide are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited license to use the Service; all rights not expressly granted are reserved. Certain libraries and components used by the Service are subject to third-party licenses, and those notices form part of your use of the Service.
App Store Terms
Dosiq is licensed, not sold, to you, and your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services / App Store Terms of Service and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), except to the extent these Terms expand your rights. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Dosiq, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that the educational estimates it shows will be accurate for your individual circumstances. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes any non-excludable rights you have under consumer or other mandatory law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dosiq and its operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, or from your reliance on any educational estimate, trend, or other output. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to hold harmless Dosiq and its operators from claims and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms or of any law, or your infringement of third-party rights.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Dosiq and delete the app at any time, and you may request deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service is no longer viable. Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, liability limits, intellectual property, and licenses already granted for operational or legal purposes — will continue to apply.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Dosiq is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of that jurisdiction. This does not remove any non-waivable consumer-protection rights or statutory remedies available where you live.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where the law requires a different form of acceptance.
